Our fully immersive French-English or Spanish-English curriculums gift children the skills and confidence to fully comprehend 2 languages and cultures. The acquisition of the language not only as a means of communication, but also as an instructional tool for learning other areas allows the development of cognitive abilities and academic language.
We offer an intimate preschool atmosphere for little ones and a unique tuition free Charter program for K-5th grade.

One FrenchAm Family, Two Schools
FrenchAm Preschool
The FrenchAm Preschool is a full French immersion program for ages 1 to 5.
Preschool students are cared for in a welcoming, small, positive environment that enables them to thrive, socialize, and have fun.
The fee-based half or full day offerings are Monday-Friday to meet your family’s needs.
FrenchAm Academy
The FrenchAm Academy offers a TUITION-FREE dual language French-English or Spanish-English immersion education for Grades K-5.
Our Monday-Thursday, full day format gives children traditional teacher-led instruction in two languages and two curriculums.
The challenging and fulfilling dual program will provide your child a well-rounded experience and enhanced education.
A Word From Our Headmaster
Welcome to the FrenchAm Schools; One FrenchAm Family, Two Schools!
Our schools welcome students from daycare to fifth grade in a warm and familial environment where students are happy to come to school.
Our mission is to offer a rigorous bilingual school program where children learn two languages and also two different cultures.
Our school’s motto: “Non Scholae Sed Vitae Discimus” is the true philosophy of Frencham and that means:
- In French: “Nous napprenons pas pour l’école, mais pour la vie”
- In Spanish: “No aprendemos para la escuela, sino para la vida”.
- In English: “We do not learn for school, but for life”.
FrenchAm students are encouraged to be open-minded and have good intellectual curiosity. We teach them problem-solving skills which lead them to perform well not only in languages but also in math and science. We teach knowledge of the history and geography of the world which allows them to open up to the diversity of its people. Overall, we teach our students to be good citizens of the world.

We Learn Not for School, but for Life.
This is the motto of FrenchAm Academy, a French-English, dual language immersion Elementary school. Graduates of FrenchAm Academy are proficient in two languages and are prepared to enter academically challenging intermediate schools based on the foundations they build here.
Students at FrenchAm Academy learn not only logical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, they also develop character, respect, and appreciation for learning through a comprehensive, rigorous curriculum designed around universal themes to engage and inspire the whole child.
Our Story
Celebrating Over 10 Years At FrenchAm Schools
Founded by a French couple, FrenchAm opened its doors with 5 students in 2010 as a French immersion private school for ages 1 to 11. Their mission, to bring the best of the French and American education systems together to provide learning for life, holds true today.
In 2018, the school separated into two schools; FrenchAm Preschool offering a full French immersion private day care / preschool for ages 2 to 4 and FrenchAm Academy offering full French immersion charter school for K-5 grade. We are the only school in Arizona to offer French immersion education from the age of 2 through our K – 5 charter school to provide quality public school education.
Along with the French and English curriculums, we teach culture, development of character, respect, and appreciation of the community, country, and our world. Our students go on to excel in a variety of middle schools throughout Arizona and the world at large.
Our motto has guided our school principles and values since 2010, and we will continue to follow this direction for the next 10 years.
Facilities and Events
The FrenchAm Schools are located just 2 miles from the historic downtown Chandler district in uptown Chandler. The area provides several amenities such as restaurants, shopping, and the Chandler Center for the Arts. The 25,000 sq. ft. facility provides the following to our FrenchAm students and families:
- Social distance precautions in the classroom and throughout the entire facility
- Large indoor space suitable for climate-controlled Physical Education, recess, and lunch activities
- Multi-purpose rooms with dedicated spaces for:
- Art and Music classes
- STEM lab
- French/English Library
- SPED, ELL, and RTI pullout instruction
- Individual office spaces for teachers to prepare, have parent conferences, etc.
- Easy access from main thoroughfares
When you decide to send your child to The FrenchAm Schools, you are joining a family. We believe learning happens inside and outside of the classroom. Our school year events and fun themed days support the French culture and promote a sense of family and fun.
- As a French school, we believe food and drink are a large part of the socialization process to be respected and enjoyed with company and conversation. We celebrate various events through the year with Potluck Evenings and Family Nights, gathering to have fun and share the foods and customs of our different heritages.

Keep the uniform in the closet and come dressed according to our theme. Academic learning still happens but we make time for school time fun as well.

Each May, we celebrate all of our students with a promotional ceremony. Students present songs and readings in French and English to showcase their yearly learning to family and friends.
