The French American School of Arizona was created with the goal of bringing children the best of the standards of education of both the United States and the French academic programs.
Our school allows children to start their school path in both languages and discover both cultures at once.
At first, the emphasis is on teaching in French, by practicing full French immersion. This focus helps to set the foundation for learning a non-native language. Once the children reach Kindergarten and join the French American Academy of Arizona, the curriculum transitions to a balance between French and English to ensure that the children are always progressing in both languages.
Using this method prepares the children to enter the secondary cycle either in an American school or a French establishment. By then, children will be able to read, write, speak and understand English and French.
The French American School of Arizona’s Board provides strategic direction and ensures the school’s mission and purpose are respected. The Board maintains oversight of:
- Mission, Policy, and Strategic Planning
- Student Achievement
- School Administration
- Legal and Regulatory Compliance
- Promotion and Accountability to the Public
The FrenchAm Board welcomes the public, including teachers, parents, and the community, to its public meetings. Notices of public meetings shall be posted on the FrenchAm website and on the bulletin board outside the main office. FrenchAm will give additional public notice as is reasonable and practical as to all meetings. Copies of the agenda will be available to the public at least 24 hours prior to the meeting, upon request. To request a copy of the agenda for an upcoming meeting email request to email@example.com.
